Privacy Policy

What this site collects, and what it doesn't.

Short version: no tracking cookies, no advertising, and the only analytics is a cookieless page counter that can't identify you. Nobody's being followed around the internet on my account. There's one exception — a referral code — and it's described below rather than buried.

The longer version is below, and it's short too, because the site genuinely doesn't do much. Last updated October 4, 2026.

If you use a contact form

There are two kinds: the one on Work With Me, and the one on the marketing pages and the contact page. Each asks for your name, email, what it's about, and a message. Each also sends, without showing it, the address of the page you sent it from and which form it was, so I know where an inquiry started. They're handled by Formspree, which passes them on to my inbox.

I use it to reply to you. That's it. It's kept by Formspree and in my email (Gmail), because that's how it reaches me. I don't add you to a mailing list, and I don't pass it to anyone else.

If you buy a print

Checkout runs on Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, not to me — I never see them and they never touch this site. What I do see is your name, email, and shipping address, because I need them to get the print to you. Checkout also asks for a phone number, and you have to give one. I see that too.

Prints are made and shipped by Prodigi, so your name and shipping address go to them to print and post your order. Nothing else does.

If you book a session

A session starts with the form on Work With Me or an email, and that part is covered above. Once we've booked, I'll also ask for your phone number. You pay for the session through Stripe.

Your photographs come to you as a private gallery link, where you can view and download them. The link stops working after 90 days, so download anything you want to keep. I keep the photographs, but I can't guarantee I'll still have them more than 60 days after the gallery link stops working.

I won't show any of your photographs on this site, on social media, or anywhere else to show my work unless you've said yes in writing. For anyone under 18, that yes has to come from a parent.

Hosting and fonts

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which keeps standard server logs — IP address, browser, which page or file was requested. That's ordinary infrastructure logging and I don't do anything with it.

Cloudflare also asks your browser to tell it when something on the site fails to load (a standard called Network Error Logging), which it uses to keep its network working. It reports failures only.

The typefaces are kept on this site and load from it, the same way the pages do. So that request goes to Cloudflare, as part of the hosting above, and not to Google.

One thing the site remembers

If you come to a print from one of my guides or from a Pin, the link carries a short code saying which one sent you. Your browser keeps that code until you close the tab, and hands it to Stripe when you click a Buy button.

That's the only way I can tell which writing actually led to an order. It isn't a cookie. It doesn't identify you. It goes to Stripe when you click Buy. Because it's part of the page address, it also appears in Cloudflare's ordinary server logs, described above. It's gone when you close the tab.

Pinterest

I post pictures of my own photographs to my own Pinterest boards, some of them through Pinterest's API using a tool I built. That tool reads my own boards, so it knows where to post, and reads the figures for my own Pins — how many people saved one, how many clicked through. It reads nobody else's Pins, boards or account.

None of what it reads is shared with anyone, sold, or used for advertising. It lives on my own computer.

If you arrive here from a Pin, the link carries the same short referral code described above, and behaves the same way. What Pinterest itself collects while you are on Pinterest is covered by Pinterest's privacy policy, not this one.

Counting visits

I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count how many people read a page. It sets no cookie, stores nothing on your device, and does not follow you to any other site. It does not build a profile of you, and it gives me no way to identify anyone.

What I see is aggregate: how many times a page was viewed, roughly where in the world visits came from, and which site linked here. It also reports basic browser and device information and how quickly the page loaded, so I can keep the site fast — none of it identifies you. I cannot see who you are or what else you looked at.

After you send a form, you land on a thank-you page, and that page is counted like any other. That count is how I know a form was sent at all; it doesn't carry anything you wrote.

I added this so I can tell whether the guides I write are useful to anyone. It is the least I could add and still answer that question. If I ever change to something that collects more, I will update this page and say so here.

What this site doesn't do

  • No tracking or advertising cookies. No pixels, no retargeting, no ad networks.
  • No selling or sharing your information. There's nothing to sell and I wouldn't.
  • No accounts, no logins, nothing that follows you to another site.

Your information

I keep inquiry emails and order records indefinitely. Email me at itschrischandler@gmail.com and I'll tell you what I have, or delete it, except order records I'm required to keep. No form to fill in.

This site is run by its chris chandler, LLC.
